Applications are invited for the Asutosh Mookerjee Fellowships, ISCA 2020-21 by the Indian Science Congress Association (ISCA). The fellowship opportunity is for selected PhD degree holders who are Life Members of the Association and are active in high-quality research in their specialized disciplines but have superannuated from their service. The objective is to utilize the expertise of ISCA Members after superannuation primarily for research work in some R&D centre/university/college/institute in India. The fellowship is meant for those who have a proven track record as evident from their Research publications and recognition The selected candidate will receive fellowship worth INR 30,000 per month and other grants.

DeadlineClosed Eligibility To be eligible, the applicant must:
- Be ISCA Life Members who have superannuated and are between the age of 65 to 70 years
- Possess a PhD in science/Engineering or MD in medicine
- Have a proven track record as evident from their Research publications and recognition
Benefits The selected fellows will receive the following benefits:
- An honorarium of INR 30,000 per month with the monthly fellowship of individual Fellow not exceeding INR 1.5 lakh (including initial basic pension and fellowship amount)
- A contingency grant of INR 100,000 for the expenditure of chemicals glasswares, stationary, animal & feed, postage, part-time services of a scientific assistant/secretary for typing, travel within country only, etc.

Step 3: Nominations for the position shall be invited from the Life Members of the Association. The nomination papers duly completed in all respects signed, and routed through the Head of the Institution, where a scientist intends to work, should be sent to the General Secretary (Membership Affairs).

- Fellows will submit an annual report of their research work at the end of each calendar year along with the duly audited statement of expenditure and utilization certificate for renewal and release of grant for the next year.
- The term of Asutosh Mookerjee Fellowships will be tenable initially for a period of three years, extendable for another two years after a review of the achievement of three years' work.
- This year, a total of 10 fellowships will be awarded to ISCA life members.
- The number of fellowships for each year shall be decided by the Executive Committee.
