About The Program
Kaushik Das Memorial College Scholarship (AKADAMICS) 2024 is an initiative of the Assam Foundation of North America to provide financial assistance and mentoring to financially deprived students who have demonstrated excellent academics. The scholarship aims to promote higher education among those in need, empowering them to contribute to their families' well-being. Selected candidates will receive financial aid in four equal instalments per year.
EligibilityDeadline Date: Closed
To be eligible, an applicant must:
- be a permanent resident of Assam
- be seeking or already enrolled in a bachelor’s degree course in any discipline
- have passed the higher secondary/pre-university/Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE)/Indian School Certificate (ISC) exam or equivalent board-qualifying examination
- have an annual family income of ₹50,000 or below
Benefits
The selected students will receive financial assistance in 4 equal instalments per year.
Note:- The scholarship will be deposited to the bank account of the awardees.

- Salary/pay slip from the employer
- A pension statement (if applicable)
- Income certificate

Terms and Conditions
- There is no minimum academic score, grade, or percentage necessary to be eligible for the scholarships.
- AFNA SSB will use all information provided in the application form, including the essay questions in Section 10, to make the scholarship selection.
- Once awarded, a scholarship will remain valid until the completion of the academic year for which it was awarded.
- If the scholarship amount does not cover the entire expenses of the pursued course, the awardee will be allowed to seek additional scholarships from other sources.
