About The Program

The AScI International Summer Research Programme 2026 is offered by Aalto University. The programme is a prestigious research assistantship designed to support talented research-oriented students pursuing undergraduate or postgraduate studies in science and engineering. Selected candidates will receive a salary of €2,000 per month and other benefits.

To be eligible, an applicant must:-

  • be a Bachelor's, Master's, or, in exceptional cases, Doctoral student from any country worldwide
  • be a research-oriented student with a strong academic background
  • be able to work full-time for 12 weeks
Benefits

The selected students will receive:-

  • Full-time employment as a research assistant with a monthly salary of €2,000 (approx. ₹2,15,874.00), depending on years of study
  • Travel bonus of €400 (approx. ₹43,174.80) for applicants from Europe or €800 (approx.₹86,572.00) for applicants from outside Europe
  • 1 week of paid vacation during the 12-week programme
  • Assistance in finding low-cost student housing
  • Comprehensive information and support for visa applications
  • "Get to know Finland" course (June only)
  • Regular lunch gatherings with other interns
  • Social, cultural, outdoor, and sporting activities throughout the summer
  • Opportunity to present research at a final poster exhibition
