About The Program
Arturo Falaschi Short-term PhD Fellowships, ICGEB, New Delhi 2026 is an opportunity provided by the International Center for Genetic Engineering and Biotechnology (ICGEB) for Ph.D. students. It aims to fund ongoing collaborative research between scientists from ICGEB Member States and research groups at ICGEB laboratories. The selected candidates will receive a monthly stipend of USD 1,122 (approximately ₹97,781) for up to 12 months.

To be eligible, an applicant must:-
- be nationals of an ICGEB Member State
- hold a B.Sc. (Honours) degree if applying for ICGEB Trieste and Cape Town and an M.Sc. degree if applying for ICGEB New Delhi
- have a good working knowledge of the English language, supported by a proficiency certificate (TOEFL, Cambridge Certificate, or equivalent)
Note:-
- This is not required for scholars whose education has been undertaken in English.
- Applicants may not apply for fellowships to be undertaken in their country of origin unless working abroad at the time of application.
Benefits
The awardees receive a monthly stipend of USD 1,122 (approximately ₹97,781) for a duration of up to 12 months.
- Travel expenses - From the participant’s home country to the ICGEB lab at the beginning of the fellowship and a return travel provision upon its completion.
- Medical health insurance - Coverage for the duration of the fellowship.
- Visa/permit of stay application and renewal costs are reimbursed.
- Accommodation support
(Note:- ICGEB makes no financial provision, nor can it provide administrative support for family members of participants in the programme.)

How can you apply?
The applicants can apply for the fellowship by using the below-mentioned steps -
Step 1: Click on the 'Apply Now' below.

Step 3: Navigate to the 'Apply' button at the bottom of the page.

Step 5: Click on 'Apply for an ICGEB Fellowship' and you will be redirected to a page displaying all fellowship opportunities currently open at ICGEB.
Step 6: Select 'Arturo Falaschi Postdoctoral Fellowships' and click on the green colour 'Submit Expression of Interest' button.
Step 7: Fill in all the mentioned details abd click 'Submit Expression of Interest'
Step 8: On successful submission of the expression of interest, you will receive an email inviting you to complete your application.
Step 9: Log in to your account and proceed with your application.
