About The Program
The ANRF J. C. Bose Grant (JBG) 2026 is an opportunity provided by the Anusandhan National Research Foundation (ANRF) to senior scientists and engineers in India, recognising their excellence and contributions. This grant aims to encourage senior-level researchers to further enhance their research interests. The selected candidates will receive a research grant of ₹26,00,000 per year.

- be an active and senior scientist/engineer
- have a record of outstanding performance in the field of science and technology demonstrated through:

- be working at a senior level in institutions/universities in India
Benefits
The selected candidates will receive the following benefits:
- a research grant of ₹25,00,000 per year under two budget heads:
- Recurring Head: Covers expenses such as manpower, consumables, travel, contingency, and other costs.
- Non-recurring Head: Allocated for equipment (up to 20% of the annual grant).
- an additional ₹1,00,000 per year (fixed) will be provided as Overheads to the implementing institution.

- The grant can be availed of only for a duration of five years.
- If the principal investigator (PI) reaches superannuation during the grant's term, the grant can continue, provided the host institution agrees to continue hosting the PI.
