About The Program

Andhra Pradesh Post Matric Scholarship 2018 is an opportunity for students in Andhra Pradesh to receive financial support from the state government for pursuing higher education. Under this scholarship program, students from economically weaker minority families are provided scholarship up to INR 962 per month.

EligibilityDeadline Date: Always Open

To be eligible for this scholarship, the applicants should fulfill the following criteria:

  • Economically weaker minority students pursuing post matric courses including Intermediate, Graduation, Post Graduation and Professional Courses
  • Domiciles of the state of Andhra Pradesh
  • Income of parents/guardians not exceeding INR 1 lakh per annum
  • Students putting in 75% attendance in normal time
Benefits

The scholarships will be disbursed based on the class level in the following manner:

  • For Professional Courses- 
    • INR 962 per month for 10 months for hostellers (CMH)
    • INR 442 per month for 10 months for student-managed hostels (SMH)
    • INR 429 per month for 10 months for day scholars
  • For Post Graduation-​
    • INR 682 per month for 10 months for hostellers (CMH)
    • INR 442 per month for 10 months for student-managed hostels (SMH)
    • INR 429 per month for 10 months for day scholars
  • For Graduation/Diploma courses-​
    • INR 520 per month for 10 months for hostellers (CMH)
    • INR 325 per month for 10 months for student-managed hostels (SMH)
    • INR 240 per month for 10 months for day scholars
  • For Intermediate-​
    • INR 520 per month for 10 months for hostellers (CMH)
    • INR 325 per month for 10 months for student-managed hostels (SMH)
    • INR 240 per month for 10 months for day scholars
How can you apply?

The application is an offline procedure. The eligible students can submit the filled in application forms through the institutions to the Executive Director/DMWOs of the concerned districts.

Selection Criteria

After the successful offline submission of application forms, the student data will be entered in the website. The list of eligible students will then be forwarded to the selection committee for approval. The selection committee comprising of Joint Collector, District Education Officer and ED APSMFC/DMWO will then approve the scholarships based on the scholarship sanction procedure.

The scholarship amount will be released to the students' bank accounts directly from the ED/DMWO's office.
