About The Program

All India Poetry Competition 2017 invites application from poets and translators. The objective of this program is to promote Indian poetry and look after the interests of poets in India and undertakes collection, interpretation, translation, publication, and propagation of Indian poetry in India and other countries. The winners will receive a prize up to INR 10000.

EligibilityDeadline Date: Closed

Open to resident and non-resident Indian poets and translators.

 

How can you apply?

The application can be done by post or by email with the following steps:
Step 1: Download 
the application form.
Step 2: Fill all the details.
Step 3: Enter the poems.
Step 4: Pay the application fee INR 200 by a Demand Draft drawn on any bank in India and made payable to 'The Poetry Society (India) at New Delhi'.
Step 5: Email it or send it to the given address:

Prizes:
There will be 6 prizes awarded in English and Hindi each:

  • 1st prize: INR 10,000
  • 2nd prize: INR 5,000
  • 3rd prize: INR 3,000
  • Three commendation prizes: INR 1,000
