All India 6th Korea-India Friendship Essay Competition 2018 invites applications from students of class 6 to 9 to write an essay on the topic 'Why South Korea is my Favorite Country?' in 150 to 300 words and from students of class 10 to 12 to write on 'Why I want to become an Indian Ambassador to South Korea?' in 300 to 500 words. The senior students can win a free trip to Korea and the junior students can win up to INR 20000.

    Eligibility
    • This competition is only open for Indian students residing in India.
    • Students of class 6 to 12 are eligible to enter the contest.
    Benefits

    There are different benefits for the senior (class 10 to 12) and the junior (class 6 to 9) group.

    • Senior group - Class 10 to 12
      • Three winners will receive a free trip to South Korea
      • Three winners will receive INR 5000
      • 17 winners will receive a special prize of INR 2000
    • Junior group - Class 6 to 9
      • One winner will receive INR 20,000
      • Two winners will receive INR 10,000
      • Three winners will receive INR 5,000
      • 15 winners will receive a special prize of INR 1,000
    How can you apply?

    Students can enter the contest by sending the entries through email or by post. Follow the below steps:
    Step 1:
     Write an essay on the following topics:

    • Class 6 to class 9 students (junior group): Why South Korea is my Favorite Country?
    • Class 10 to class 12 students (senior group): Why I want to become an Indian Ambassador to South Korea?

    Step 2: The word limit for the junior group is 150 to 300 words and for the senior group, the word limit is 300 to 500 words (Essays should be in the English language only).

    Step 3: Now email it to email@koreaindiaessay.com or send it by post to the given address:

Terms and Conditions
  • The free trip to South Korea will be for 6 days and 5 nights and will be subject to government procedures.
  • The essay must be handwritten or typed in English language only.
  • The decision of judges will be final and binding.
  • Travel will be paid to winners for participation in an award ceremony to be held in Delhi restricted only to the top 3 winners (Only for winners outside Delhi NCR).
    • A maximum amount of INR 10,000 for airfare on presenting the actual ticket will be given.
    • A maximum amount of INR 5,000 for train fare on presenting the actual ticket will be given.

This scholarship is closed for further applications. It is expected to be launched by April, 2024. You can follow this scholarship for further updates.
