About The Program

The University of Melbourne is offering Alex Chernov Scholarship 2019 for Indian students enrolled in full-time Master of Laws (LLM) programme at Melbourne Law School. A total of 3 awards will be given to selected students that comprises full tuition fee remission, two equal payments of AUD 10,000 and other benefits. 

EligibilityDeadline Date: Closed

To be eligible, an applicant must -

  • Be a citizen of India
  • Have applied for, and hold an offer of a place in the Master of Laws (LLM) programme at Melbourne Law School
  • Be either commencing studies in start-year (March) intake or in the mid-year (July) intake
Benefits

A total of three students will be selected for this scholarship that includes - 

  • Full tuition fee remission
  • Two equal payments of AUD 10,000 (Adding to AUD 20,000)
  • Paid research at AUD 40 per hour (up to AUD 10,000 in total)
  • Mentorship by former Judge of the Court of Appeal of the Supreme Court of Victoria and Governor of Victoria, the Honourable Alex Chernov
How can you apply?

No application is required for this scholarship. The students who have applied for the LLM course by 31st October 2019 or 30th April 2020 will be automatically considered for this award.

The last date to apply for LLM (for July 2020 intake) - 30 April 2020

Selection Criteria

The selection of the students for the scholarship will be based on their academic merit.
