About The Program

The AICTE SAMARTHAN Internship Connect 2025 is an opportunity provided by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), to Undergraduate and Postgraduate students of Jammu, Kashmir, Ladakh, Andaman and Nicobar Islands & North Eastern states. This is a 15-day internship that aims to expose students from these regions to cutting-edge research in the fields of science and technology at institutions of higher learning. The selected candidates shall receive a certificate of appreciation and other benefits.

EligibilityDeadline Date: Closed

To be eligible, an applicant must:- 

  • be undergraduate or postgraduate students 
  • be domiciled in Jammu, Kashmir, Ladakh, Andaman and Nicobar Islands or  North Eastern states 
  • be pursuing the following courses in AICTE-approved institutions:
    • Engineering & Technology 
    • Management 
    • Design 
    • Applied Arts and Crafts 
    • BBA 
    • BCA 
    • Hotel Management & Catering Technology
Benefits

The selected candidates will receive:-

  • Free food and accommodation
  • Second class sleeper to and fro expenses
  • Certificate of Internship Completion by the host institution

How can you apply?

Eligible candidates can follow these steps to apply:-
Step 1: Click on the 'Apply Now' button below. 
Step 2: Click on the 'Register' button and fill in the required registration details (Note:- If already registered, log in using Gmail/Mobile number/Email ID).
Step 3: Click on ‘Student Register’ on the right-hand side of the page.
Step 4: Fill in all the details and click on the ‘Submit’ button.
Step 5: Once your registration is authenticated by the TPO (Training and Placement Officer) or Nodal Officer, you can proceed with the application. 

Note:- Students can register themselves only after the Nodal Officer registers on the portal with the Nomination Letter and the AICTE verifies the nomination.

Selection Criteria
  • Applicants pursuing an undergraduate degree will be selected on the basis of their UG and Class 12 scores.
  • Postgraduate students will be selected on the basis of their PG and UG scores.

Note:- If candidates have the same scores, the scores from their immediately preceding grade will be used to determine the rank. If those scores are also identical, the older candidate, based on their date of birth in their Aadhaar card, will be ranked higher.

Terms and Conditions
  • Only students whose applications are verified by the designated nodal officers at their respective institutions will be eligible for the internship.
  • Undergraduate students can undertake a maximum of three internships throughout their program, while postgraduate students are limited to two.
  • Allotment letters will be issued by email to the individual email IDs of the students upon successful selection.
  • The final allotment list will be determined by the prepared rank list, the order of institute preferences submitted by students, and the number of available seats in each institute.
  • Students who fail to respond to their first-round allotment within the specified timeframe will be automatically rejected, and those seats will be offered to other students in the second round.

Note:- Any representations/grievances will not be entertained in cases of non-response from candidates in allotted seats.
