About The Program

 AICTE PG (GATE/GPAT) Scholarship 2018-19 invites applications from students in the first year of ME/M.Tech/M.Pharma/M.Arch degree courses during the academic year 2018-19 at an AICTE approved institution. The key objective of the scholarship is to ensure the development of technical education in India.

To be eligible for the scholarship, a candidate must-
  • Have obtained qualifying marks in GATE/GPAT 
  • Have taken admission in the 1st year of M.Tech./M.E./M.Pharma/M.Arch. courses at an AICTE recognized institution. 
  • Have a general saving account in the bank.
Note: Candidates admitted for part-time courses are not eligible to apply. Joint accounts are not permitted for the scholarship. Creamy layer OBC candidates who had qualified under OBC category are not eligible to apply. Candidates qualified under SC/ST/OBC/Physically Handicapped not having an authentic certificate are also not eligible. 
Benefits

The selected students will receive INR 12,400 per month which is tenable for 24 months or the duration of the course (whichever is lower) subject to satisfactory academic performance and adherence to institution's norms and regulations.

  • Copy of GATE/GPAT scorecard
  • Copy of the Bank passbook 
  • Category certificate (if category as per GATE/GPAT scorecard is SC/ST/OBC/PD)
  • Copy of Aadhaar card
  • Certificate of Physical disability (if physically disabled is selected) 
  • Copy of NPR card (if available)
How can you apply?
Eligible candidates can apply for the scholarship online through following steps -
Step 1: Click here to get Institute id.
Step 2: Click here to get student id by filling in the required details. 
Step 3: Fill in the application form for PG Scholarship GATE/GPAT. 
Step 4: Upload the required documents to the portal in JPEG/PDF format only. 
Step 5: Click on "Submit Application" after completing all the steps. 
Note: Once the student completes the application process, the institutions are required to verify the student data and approve his/her candidature on the portal by 15 September 2018.

Terms and Conditions
  • The post-graduate scholars need to undertake 8 to 10 hours (per week) of work related to research activities and teaching as assigned to him/her by the institute. 
  • The students are required to give an undertaking to the effect that he/she would not leave the course midway. 
  • If the student is found involved in misconducts line ragging or misbehaviour, the scholarship may be discontinued. 
  • Candidates admitted in PG programs, foreign students and sponsored candidates are not eligible for the scholarship. 
  • Salary grant or any other grant like the library, books, contingencies, etc, will not be admissible under this scholarship scheme.
