About The Program

The African Development Bank Internship Program 2026 is offered by the African Development Bank, designed to provide high-potential candidates with professional, practical experience in a premier pan-African development institution, contributing to transformative projects across Africa. Selected interns will receive a monthly stipend along with other benefits.

EligibilityDeadline Date: Closed

To be eligible, an applicant must:-

  • be a national of a member country of the African Development Bank
  • be currently enrolled in a Master’s level degree at a recognised institution, or 
  • have obtained a Master’s degree not more than a year ago
  • be no more than 30 years old at the time of commencement of the internship
  • be fluent in English or French 
  • have analytical, communication, and team skills; proficiency in standard office software is required; knowledge of SAP is desirable
Benefits

Selected students will receive:-

  • A monthly stipend
  • Medical insurance coverage for the duration of the internship
  • Entry and residence visa assistance

Terms and Conditions
  • Internships last a minimum of 3 months and a maximum of 6 months, and each candidate may participate only once.
  • Selected interns may work remotely or on-site, depending on the needs of their hiring unit.
  • Remote interns must have a personal computer, reliable internet access, and a suitable environment for uninterrupted work.
  • On-site interns are responsible for their own air travel (if applicable) and personal living expenses.
  • The Bank will make reasonable efforts to help interns obtain entry and residence visas.
  • Eligible interns receive medical insurance coverage funded by the Bank for the duration of the internship.
  • Eligible interns are also provided with a monthly stipend.
