About The Program
The Academy of Scientific and Innovative Research (AcSIR) invites applications for AcSIR Dr APJ Abdul Kalam Summer Training Program 2020 from Bachelor's and Master's degree students. This is a 2-month summer training program that allows the participants to work at premier CSIR research laboratories with leading scientists of India in an environment promoting trans-disciplinary research. A total of 20 fellowships will be awarded under this scheme. The selected fellows can get up to INR 25,000 along with other benefits.

To be eligible, the applicant must fulfil any of the following criteria:
- Be a first-year MSc student (minimum first-class at pre-M.Sc degree level)
- Be in the third to the pre-final year of Integrated MSc program or equivalent (GPA 6.0 on a scale of 10)
- Be in the first year of ME/MTech program or equivalent (GPA 8.0 on a scale of 10 or GPA 7.0 on a scale of 10 for CFT Is at B.E/B.Tech level or GATE Score ≥ 600 or NET (Engineering) Rank from 1 to 100)
- Be in BE/ BTech program or equivalent (PA 8.0 on a scale of 10 OR GPA 7.0 on a scale of 10)
- Be in the third to the pre-final year of Integrated ME/MTech program or equivalent (GPA 8.0 on a scale of 10 OR GPA 7.0 on a scale of 10 for CFTIs or GATE Score ≥600 or NET)
Benefits
A total of 20 scholars will be selected who will receive the following benefits-
- A fellowship worth INR 25,000 for two months between May and August
- Travel allowance up to INR 5,000
