Abdul Kalam Technology Innovation National Fellowship 2025-26

To be eligible, an applicant must:-

• be an Indian national or Overseas Citizen of India (OCI)
• be currently employed in a permanent position in the engineering field at a public-funded institution in India
• possess adequate professional qualifications
• hold at least a bachelor's degree
• have a minimum of 5 years of remaining service at their current institution as of the award date
• not be holding any other fellowship

Note:-

• Previous applicants who were not selected are eligible to re-apply provided they have at least five years of remaining service with their current employer.
• Applicants holding other fellowships must choose one of them.

A total of 10 selected candidates will receive the following benefits:-

• A monthly fellowship of ₹25,000 in addition to the regular income
• An annual research grant of ₹15,00,000
• An annual overhead of ₹1,00,000 to the host institute

Note:-

• This fellowship is taxable as per the IT rule of the Government of India.
• The initial fellowship tenure is 3 years, extendable to a maximum of 5 years subject to performance.

• Employment proof (bonafide certificate/employer recommendation letter, etc.)
