About The Program

AAI Sports Scholarship Scheme in India 2023-24 is an initiative of the Sports Control Board, Airports Authority of India for Indian sportsperson between the age group of 14 to 24 years. The aim of the scholarship is to enhance sporting standards in AAI by encouraging youth talent in India. The selected students will receive up to INR 16,000 per month.

To be eligible for the scholarship, an applicant must - 

  • be an Indian citizen 
  • be a sportsperson between the age group of 14 to 24 years
  • have represented India in Sub-Junior/Junior/Senior National Championships, All India Inter-University Tournaments, National School Games in 2021-22 & onwards
Benefits

The selected candidates will receive the scholarship in the following way - 

Age Group Amount of scholarship per month
Over 14 years and under 18 years INR 12,000
Over 18 years INR 16,000

How can you apply?

Eligible candidates can apply for the scholarship by following the steps mentioned below:

Step 1: Click on the 'Apply Now' button below.
Step 2: Click on the 'Register' button on the right-hand side of the dashboard and fill in the required details to 'Register'. (Note - If already registered, log in using the registered email Id.)
Step 3: Download the application form.
Step 4: Fill in all the required details.
Step 5: Send the complete & signed application in the prescribed format with requisite enclosures in an envelope (13.5 x 9.5 inches) superscribed in the bold letter with “AAI SPORTS SCHOLARSHIP SCHEME 2023-24” on the top left corner of the outer envelope to the under mentioned address latest by 21st February 2022: –

Selection Criteria

All the applications received in the stipulated time will be considered by a committee duly constituted by the President, Airport Authority of India Sports Control Board. 

Talented students who are not students may also be taken into consideration for the award of a scholarship subject to their meeting all requirements and verification by the secretary of the concerned state federation/national federation.

Terms and Conditions
  • There is no obligation on the part of the Airports Authority of India to give employment to the Airports Authority of India Sports Scholars.
  • The applicant will continue their studies as well as the game concerned diligently and show improved performance.
  • The candidates shall make themselves available for practices/tournaments as and when required by AAI. 
  • The AAI can withdraw the scholarship at any time without any notice or assigning any reason.
  • The candidates are required to obtain the concurrences of their parent/guardian in writing duly attested by a gazetted officer.
