About The Program

AAI Sports Contract Scheme 2025-26 is an initiative by the Airport Authority of India (AAI) with an aim to provide sportsperson a position at AAI. This scheme enhances the standards of sports at AAI and also encourages young talents. The selected candidates will receive up to ₹35,000 per month and other benefits.

To be eligible, an applicant must:-

  • be a sportsperson
  • be aged between 14 to 24 years as on 31st March 2025
  • have been playing for the last two to three years at sub-junior or national level

Eligible games under this scheme:

  • Carrom
  • Chess
  • Badminton
  • Kho Kho 
  • Table Tennis

Note:-

  • No other games will be entertained under this scheme.
  • For the open category, there are 97 scholarships.
  • For wards of Airport Authority of India (AAI), there are 20 scholarships. 
Benefits

The selected candidates will receive benefits in the following manner:-

  • The selected sportspersons will also receive a monthly medical insurance of ₹1,000.

Note:- The duration of the AAI Sports Contract Scheme will be one year.

How can you apply?

Eligible applicants can apply for the scholarship through the following steps:-
Step 1: Click on the 'Apply Now' button.
Step 2: Click the 'Register' button and fill in the required registration details. (Note:- If already registered, log in using Gmail/Mobile number/Email ID)
Step 3: Click on the notification and scroll down. 
Step 4: Print out the application form, fill in the required details and attach the necessary documents.
Step 5: Post it to the concerned authority and the address mentioned below.

Terms and Conditions
  • The selected sportsperson are not eligible to receive any other financial assistance from any other source for sporting activities during the contract period.
  • The sportsperson must represent only the AAI Team in national/international tournaments during their tenure.
  • Participation in any other tournament requires a No Objection Certificate (NOC) from the Secretary, AAI-SCB.
  • Violation of the NOC condition will lead to full recovery of the amount paid by AAI-SCB and debarment from future selection.
  • There is no obligation on AAI to offer regular employment to the selected contract sportsperson.
  • The sportsperson must follow all AAI rules, regulations, and instructions regarding practice timings, location, conduct, attendance, and expense reimbursement.
  • The sportsperson must put in their best efforts and maintain the image and reputation of AAI
  • The contract can be terminated by either party with 15 days' notice or payment in lieu of notice before the contract period ends.

FAQ's

Question: What is the duration of the Sports Contract?
Answer: The contract will be for a period of one year. The contract will automatically cease once the sportsperson attains the age of 25 years.

Question: Is there any travel allowance for the selected candidates?
Answer: Yes, there is a travel allowance of ₹500 for journeys between 12 to 24 hours, ₹300 for journeys under 12 hours,  and ₹20 per KM road mileage from residence to railway station/airport/bus stand and vice versa.
