About The Program
The Ministry of Education, Singapore invites applications for A-STAR India Youth Scholarship 2020 from students who have passed their class 8 in 2019 and are willing to study in selected Singapore schools at the Secondary 3 level in 2020.
EligibilityDeadline Date: Closed
An applicant must -
- Be a national of India
- Be born between 2003 and 2005
- Have passed class 8 in 2019
- Have scored at least an average of 80% or minimum 'A' with English as the first language in class 7 and 8 final examinations
- Possess a high level of competency in the English Language (both oral and written).
Benefits
The scholarship covers -
- Annual allowance with hostel accommodation
- Settling-in allowance
- Return economy class air passage
- Coverage of GCE-O Level and A-Level examination fees (only once, if applicable)
- Subsidized medical benefits and accident insurance cover
How can you apply?
Eligible candidates can apply for the scholarship online through following steps-
Step 1: Visit the online application system.
Step 2: Click on the 'Register' button.
Step 3: Select the scholarship for which applying and continue.
Step 4: Fill in all required details and register.
Step 5: Log in using the registered email id and password to complete the application process.
Step 6: Finally submit the application form.

- Application Period - 24 June 2019 to 28 July 2019
- Selection Test - September 2019
- Interview - October 2019
- Award of Scholarship - Early November 2019
- The arrival of Scholar in Singapore - Early December

Selection Criteria
Terms and Conditions
- The selection test and interview will be conducted in Delhi.
- The students who have been shortlisted for the selection test/interview will be notified at least 1 week in advance.
- The scholarship is tenable for 4 years that will lead to the award of the Singapore-Cambridge General Certificate of Education Advanced Level (GCE 'A'-level) or equivalent certificate.
