The 20th International Child Art Exhibition 2018 is an initiative by the Kshitij society that aims to promote art through the exhibition of paintings, greeting cards and cartoons at national and international level. The Kshitij society has been able to organise 7 national and 19 international child art exhibitions till now. This program provides an opportunity for artists, as small as nursery students, to exhibit their art on a significant platform.

    Eligibility

    The exhibition is open for artists of all age groups. The classification of different categories is in the following manner: 

    • Artists, less than 5 years of age (Nursery, KG) will be considered under group K.
    • Artists in the age group 5-6 years (Class 1) will be considered under group A.
    • Artists in the age group 6-8 years (Class 2 to 3) will be considered under group B.
    • Artists in the age group 8-11 years (Class 4 to 6) will be considered under group C.
    • Artists in the age group 11-14 years (Class 7 to 9) will be considered under group D.
    • Artists in the age group 14-18 years (Class 10 to 12) will be considered under group E.
    • Handicapped participants from any age group will be eligible under group F.
    • Life members of the Kshitij society from any age group will be eligible under group G.
    • Individuals from any age group who are not life members of Kshitij will be eligible under group H.
    • Art teachers and artists associated with Kshitij will be under group I.

    Note: The artists can apply only through school or institution or as a group. Only the life members of Kshitij can apply individually.

    Benefits
    • For each group, 50 gold and 50 silver medals will be awarded.
    • Each participant will be awarded a certificate of merit.
    • The teacher or the principal who sends more than 200 entries will be awarded Kshitij Ratna Award.
    • The teacher or the principal who sends more than 100 entries will be awarded Kshitij Kalashri Award.
    • The teacher or the principal who sends between 61 and 99 entries will be awarded Kshitij Prateek Award.

    Note: If the participants are unable to collect their prizes personally then the prizes will be sent to them by post/courier by 15th March.

    How can you apply?

    Follow the steps below:

    Step 1: Visit the page and take a print out of the application form.
    Step 2: Fill in the required details and sign the form.
    Step 3: Send the entries by registered post, speed post, courier, or by hand.
    Step 4: The duly filled application form, the entries and the application fee can be sent at the below address:

    Note: The entry fee is INR 110 for entries from India. The fee can be sent by Demand Draft drawn in favour of 'KSHITIJ' payable at New Delhi or Gurgaon (Haryana).

Important Dates

Results: By 31st December 2018.

Terms and Conditions
  • There will be no entry fee for the teachers of Kshitij.
  • The entries will not be sent back to the participants.
  • An institution or school or a group of students should send at least 20 entries.
  • Life members applying individually need to send a minimum of 5 entries.
  • All the entries must be on paper.
  • Copied works are not allowed.
  • Art can be made in any medium like water colours, pastels, pencils etc.
  • Every entry should have on its back:- (USE ONLY CAPITAL LETTERS)
    • Participant's name
    • Group and class
    • School name (in short form), city and country
  • The entry can be rejected if full details of the participant are not mentioned in clear legible block letters on the back of the entry.
  • Interested people can apply for life membership with Kshitij by paying a fee of INR 2000.
  • The entry fee can also be paid through check, e-transfer or by hand.
  • The size of the painting/cartoon should not exceed 15" x 11" and the size of the greeting should not exceed 7"x10".
  • Mounted work will not be entertained.
