The University of Queensland, Australia invites applications for UQ Destination Australia Scholarship (International Students) 2021 from students studying at UQ's regional Gatton campus and living in a regional area. The purpose of this scholarship is to attract and support International students to study in regional Australia, to grow and develop regional Australian tertiary education providers and offer students a high quality learning experience. Selected students will receive AUD 15,000 per year.

DeadlineClosed Eligibility To be eligible, an applicant must:
- Be new to UQ in 2021
- Be Alumni commencing a different degree (i.e. Masters after a Bachelors)
- Maintain ongoing residency in the regional area for the duration of the scholarship, as defined by the Australian Statistical Geography Standard Remoteness Structure from the Australian Bureau of Statistics
- Be enrolled and studying at the UQ Gatton campus
- Be studying full-time in a degree that is fully delivered at UQ's Gatton campus
- Be studying one of these qualification levels: Bachelor Degree, Bachelors Honours Degree, Masters Degree
- Maintain a student visa for the duration of the scholarship
Benefits The selected scholars will receive AUD 15,000 per year.

Selection Criteria
Applicants will be assessed on four criteria:
- Eligibility under the program guidelines
- Academic merit
- Response to personal statement
- Dean's discretion
Terms and Conditions
- Scholarships are renewable for subsequent years of the degree after commencement, up to four years total, pending maintained eligibility under the Destination Australia guidelines.
- Applicants must have a full offer for study in an approved program commencing in 2021, but need not have accepted the offer by the scholarship application deadline.
