University of Petroleum and Energy Studies (UPES), recognized by UGC and NACC, is conducting UPES-DAT entrance exam for students (B.Des and M.Des aspirants) who wish to get admitted into design courses at UPES. The selected students will be awarded a teaching assistantships worth INR 3000 per month. The M.Des students have to obtain 80 percentile in UCEED or UPES-DAT to avail the assistantship.

DeadlineClosed Eligibility To be eligible, M.Des degree applicants are required to have:
- Earned minimum SGPA/CGPA of 7.5 in the 1st semester and subsequent semesters/year.
- Passed every semester examination at the first attempt besides regular attendance, disciplined and exemplary behaviour and compliance with all other norms.
For B.Des applicants -
- Should have obtained 80% marks in Class 10th and 12th
- Should be CBSE, ICSE and State Boards pass out students (10% seats in each program)
Benefits M.Des applicants will receive INR 3000 per month and B.Des applicants will receive a 50% tuition fee waiver.

How can you apply? Follow the steps below to apply for the scholarship:
Step 1: Visit the web page here and fill out the form.
Step 2: Provide information on name, DOB, email ID etc.
Step 3: Choose the study program: "B.Des or M.Des" and "Undergraduate or Postgraduate"
Step 4: Provide phone number and get an OTP to register for registering the account.
Step 5: Provide education history, academic history and pay application fees.
Step 6: Submit the form online.

- Application last date: 25 April 2019
- Examination date: 28-30 April 2019
Terms and Conditions
- The Interview will be conducted by the Dean/Associate Dean/HoD.
- After commencement of the Academic Session, students will have to appear for an Interview to become eligible for the award of Teaching Assistantship.
- The MDes students have to work 6 hours per week on campus from August-May month (within 2 years of study).
