University of Manchester PhD Training Non-Clinical Studentship 2018-19 invites applications for graduates and students in the final year of graduation to carry out postgraduate research under Cancer Research UK Manchester Centre Training Scheme.

    Eligibility
     An applicant must -
    • Be a graduate or in the final of the undergraduate programme in relevant subject with a minimum upper second class or equivalent (Note: Having a related master's degree would give an advantage to students)
    • Be proficient in the English language
    • Have a valid IELTS or TOEFL transcript with minimum 6.5 overall IELTS score or TOEFL (iBT) 90 
    Benefits
    The studentship is tenable for four years. The selected students will receive -
    • Running costs
    • University tuition fees at the EU/UK rate
    • An annual stipend of GBP 19,000
    Documents
    • A personal statement, in not more than 1000 words
    • Two references from people who have knowledge of the candidate's academic ability
    • Transcripts and certificated of all current/previous degrees
    • Official English language transcript (IELTS/TOEFL) if applicable
    • An updated Curriculum Vitae (CV)

    Eligible candidates can apply for the studentship online through following steps -

    Step 3: Once registered, sign on to create a new application. 
    Step 4: Select "Postgraduate Research" as academic career and under prorgramme description, select "PhD Cancer Science."
    Step 5: Fill in all required details and upload all supporting documents. 
    Step 6: Finally, submit the online application form.  
    Note: Alternatively, the applicants can submit the supporting documents via email to admissions.doctoralacademy@manchester.ac.uk.
