About The Program

Tata Education and Development Trust invites applications for Tata Scholarship - Cornell University, New York 2017 to provide financial aid to undergraduate students from India. Every year, the program supports 20 scholars from India who are admitted to an undergraduate program at Cornell University, New York. The scholarship is awarded for the duration of the 4-yr program.

To receive the undergraduate scholarship, a recipient must:

  • be a citizen of India and have attended secondary school in India;
  • be offered admission to Cornell as an undergraduate student;
  • be eligible for need-based financial aid.
Benefits

Based on financial need, the scholarship will provide funding for the entirety of the undergraduate studies (8 semesters).

How can you apply?
  • All undergraduate applicants from India are automatically eligible for consideration for the Tata Scholarship if they have completed the admission application and have applied for financial aid.
  • All undergraduate applicants for the scholarship must apply for financial aid at the Cornell University
Selection Criteria

Preference will be given to qualified students accepted to the College of Architecture, Art, and Planning; the College of Engineering; the Applied Economics and Management major in the Cornell SC Johnson College of Business; and majors across colleges in the biological sciences, physical sciences, and other “hard” sciences, as well as the social sciences.

Terms and Conditions

Funding for additional semesters due to double majors or dual degrees is not available.
