The South Asian Studies Council (SASC) at the MacMillan Center of Yale University invites applications for South Asian Studies Council, Post Doctoral Fellowship 2020-2021 for a post-doctoral position at Yale University for Academic Year 2020-21. Selected candidates will receive an annual salary of USD 50,000 – USD 55,000.

    Eligibility

    To be eligible, an applicant must:

    • Have in-depth knowledge of at least one SA-related language and fluency in English
    • Have completed the Ph.D. by the time of appointment

    Note: Graduate students who are working on their PhD may apply, but fellowship recipients must have completed their PhD dissertations and should present the proof of the same.

    Benefits

    The selected candidate will receive an annual salary of USD 50,000 to USD 55,000 depending on the rank and the seniority of the selected individual and health coverage.

Selection will be based on the eligibility criteria and documents submitted by the applicants.

Terms and Conditions
  • Compensation offered to the recipients will be depending on rank and seniority of the selected individual, and health coverage.
  • Fellows are expected to be in residence in New Haven to take an active part in the intellectual exchange with other members of the Program.
  • The post-doctoral associate will teach one course in each of two terms related to his/her interests, pursue his/her own research, and participate in the activities of the South Asian Studies Council.
