SOF Defence Services Academician Scholarship (DSAS) 2023-24 is an opportunity offered by the Science Olympiad Foundation (SOF)* to the students of Classes 1 to 10. Under this scheme, the academic achievements of students from defence services/internal security families will be rewarded.
*SOF is an educational organization that was established with the aim of promoting Science, Mathematics, Computer Education, English, Social Studies, General Knowledge, and professional courses.

DeadlineClosed Eligibility To be eligible, an applicant must:
- be a resident of India
- be studying in Classes 1 to 10
Benefits The SOF will provide cash awards/scholarships of INR 5,000 each and a certificate.
Documents - Recommendation proposal signed by school Principal/Headmistress/Headmaster
- Report card of the previous year, duly certified by the Principal
How can you apply? Eligible candidates can apply for the opportunity by following the below-mentioned steps:
Step 1: Click on the 'Apply Now' button.
Step 2: Click the 'Register' button and fill in the required registration details. (Note - If already registered, log in using Gmail/Mobile number/Email Id)
Step 3: The students are requested to contact the school to apply for the opportunity.Note - The schools will send a proposal recommending students for the scholarship. The duly signed recommendation by the Head Master/Head Mistress/Principal will be sent by the school to SOF at the below-mentioned address -

Selection Criteria
The candidates will be selected based on the following criteria -
- The selection committee of SOF will evaluate all recommendations sent by the schools.
- A final list of deserving candidates will be prepared and they will be informed individually through their respective schools.

Terms and Conditions
- The DSAS is an annual award/scholarship.
- Each school can recommend only one student.
- The decision of the SOF Committee set up by SOF is final and binding.
- The schools can download the nomination form from the official website.
- Recommendations should be sent in the specified format with all necessary documents.
- The school must send a copy of the student's previous year's report card duly certified by the principal with the GCSS form.
