Pre-Matric Scholarship for OBC Students, Delhi 2023-24

To be eligible, an applicant must:

• be an Indian citizen and domicile of Delhi
• belong to the Other Backward Classes (OBC) category 
• be studying in Classes 9 or 10 in Government recognised schools. 
• have passed the previous class
• have at least 75% attendance in the previous year
• have an annual family income of less than ₹2,50,000 per annum from all sources

Non-Eligibility:

• Applicants receiving benefits of any other scholarship
• Students who fail to secure annual promotion in the next class (in case of unavoidable reasons, a certificate by the competent authority is mandatory)
• Violation of school discipline or other terms & conditions of the scholarship, the provider may be suspended or even cancel the scholarship

Note:-

1. Migration of students from one school to another is not allowed during the scholarship period, however, the provider may consider the exceptional circumstances.
2. Only 2 male children of the same parents/guardian are entitled to receive the scholarships, however, this restriction does not apply to the girl students.
3. A minimum of 5% of seats are reserved for students with disabilities and 30% are reserved for girl students.
4. Students studying in the Government schools under the Directorate of Education, Government of NCT of Delhi, N.D.M.C, Delhi Cantonment Board, Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan must apply online for the scholarship.
