PAU Ludhiana Department of Vegetable Science Research Assistantship 2021 is an initiative of Punjab Agricultural University for undergraduate and postgraduate degree holders. The assistantship is meant for the scheme titled “Facilitating Effective Functioning at PAU, Misc-08 (PC-4715)” in which the candidates will be required to work on a contractual basis for six months or till the termination of the scheme, whichever is earlier. The selected candidates will receive an emolument of INR 25,000 per month.

DeadlineClosed Eligibility To be eligible, an applicant must:
- Have completed a B.Sc. degree in either of the subjects - Agriculture/Horticulture/Forestry/Medical or B.Sc. (Hons.) degree
- Have completed a Master’s degree in Vegetable Crops/Vegetable Science/Horticulture (Vegetables)/ Olericulture
- Have secured at least 60% marks at Bachelor’s level and 65% marks or OCPA of 6.50 out of 10.00 at Master’s level
- Have passed the Matriculation examination of Punjab School Education Board with Punjabi as one of the compulsory or elective subjects or any other equivalent examination in the Punjabi language
Note: The candidate who does not possess a Master’s degree in the relevant subject but possesses a PhD degree in the discipline required at the Master’s level, shall be deemed eligible for the post.
Benefits The selected candidates will receive an emolument of INR 25,000 per month.

Step 3: Submit the application form via post to Head, Deptt. of Vegetable Science, PAU, Ludhiana on any working day from 9.00 a.m. to 5.00 p.m. by 22.06.2021.

Selection Criteria
The selection will be based on the applicant's merit.
Terms and Conditions
- Incomplete applications will not be entertained.
- The candidate should bring original certificates at the time of the interview.
- No separate intimation for the interview will be sent.
- No TA/DA will be paid for attending the interview.
- The candidates can also avail the prescribed form from the office of HOD on payment of INR 200 in the form of a Bank draft payable at Ludhiana in favour of Comptroller PAU, Ludhiana.
