Office of the High Commissioner for Human Rights (OHCHR) is inviting applications from the World's indigenous people for OHCHR Indigenous Fellowship Programme 2020. The selected fellows will be invited to attend the OHCHR Indigenous Fellowship Training Programme and receive other benefits.
OHCHR Indigenous Fellowship Programme 2020
DeadlineClosed Eligibility The indigenous people in the context of the first International Decade of the World's Indigenous People can apply for this scholarship.
Benefits The selected fellows will get the following benefits:
- Invitation to the OHCHR Indigenous Fellowship 2020 which is going to take place in Geneva.
- Return ticket (economy class) from their country of residence to Geneva,
- Stipend to cover accommodation, food and transport
- Basic health insurance for the duration of the Programme.
Note: OHCHR will not cover any additional expenses such as visa fees and travel insurance.
How can you apply? Follow the steps to apply:
Step 1: Click here to download the application form.
Step 2: The form is in two parts. Fill the first part in detail and sign.
Step 3: Get the second part of the form completed, signed and stamped by the indigenous nominating organization or indigenous community.
Step 4: Sign both parts of the form and send them by post to:

Terms and Conditions
- The training programme is available in 4 languages: English, Spanish, French and Russian.
- Application forms need to be accompanied by an official recommendation letter from the nominating indigenous organization or community.
