NIT Rourkela Department of Life Science (DLS) Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) 2021 is a research opportunity offered to M.Sc./M.Tech degree holders. The selected candidate is required to work on a project entitled - “Role of Microorganisms on the Productivity of the Bhitarkanika Mangrove Forest and Potentiality of Rhizosphere Inhabiting Bacteria in Mangrove Reforestation". The candidate will receive a fellowship of INR 31,000 per month for the 1st and 2nd years and INR 35,000 per month for the 3rd year.

DeadlineClosed Eligibility To be eligible, an applicant must -
- Hold an M.Sc./M.Tech degree in Life Science/Microbiology/Biochemistry/Biotechnology/Botany/Environmental Science/Marine Biology/Marine Science or related subjects with a minimum of 60% marks 6.50 CGPA on 10 point scale
- Be GATE or NET of UGC/CSIR/ICMR /DBT/ICAR qualified candidate
Desirable Qualifications:
- Research experience or knowledge in Environmental Microbiology, Bacterial Biofilm, Mangrove Biology, and Coastal Ecosystem will be preferred.
Benefits The candidate will receive a fellowship of INR 31,000 per month for the 1st and 2nd years and INR 35,000 per month for the 3rd year.
