National Institute of Public Cooperation and Child Development Internship 2024 is an opportunity offered by the National Institute of Public Cooperation and Child Development (NIPCCD), New Delhi, for postgraduate and research students. This programme aims to familiarise interested and motivated students with the overall process of training and research in Women & Child Development schemes and programs. The selected candidates will receive a monthly honorarium of ₹2,500 for postgraduate students and ₹5,000 for Ph.D. students along with other incentives.

    Eligibility

    To be eligible, the applicant must - 

    • be a postgraduate student or research student pursuing studies at various universities and recognized research institutes
    Benefits

    A monthly honorarium of ₹2,500 for a postgraduate student and ₹5,000 for a Ph.D. student, will be payable at the end of the engagement for a maximum of ten students and a maximum period of two months per financial year. This honorarium will cover local transport and other contingencies related to their contribution to the Institute's work.

    Additionally, a TA/DA of 4,200 will be provided to the interns only during their fieldwork.

    Each intern will be provided with a minimum of office space, including access to an intercom system and computer facilities.

  • The interns will be required to submit a brief report or paper at the end of their assignment, summarizing their observations and any suggestions they may have.
  • Candidates interested in joining the internship during holidays will be required to submit a permission letter from their Supervisor or Head of Department.
  • The interns will be assigned to any of the Additional/Joint Directors in charge of specialized Divisions, such as Child Development, Women Development, Training, and Public Cooperation, and Regional Directors in charge of NIPCCD Regional Centres located at Bengaluru, Guwahati, Lucknow, Indore, and Mohali. These interns may also be assigned to study the functioning of AWCs, Children's Homes, etc., in different States/UTs and may participate in the Social Audit of such AWCs and Children's Homes. They will be required to spend at least 50% of their internship in the field with concrete assignments.
