Master of Advanced Studies in Medical Physics Fellowships 2022 is an initiative by the International Centre for Theoretical Physics(ICTP) and the University of Trieste for master's degree applicants. The programme is designed to provide young, promising graduates of physics or related fields (mainly from low and medium-income countries) with postgraduate theoretical and clinical training so that candidates can be recognised as Clinical Medical Physicists in their home countries. The selected candidates will receive full or partial scholarships that cover travel charges, registration fees, and a monthly stipend.

DeadlineClosed Eligibility To be eligible for this fellowship, an applicant must -
- Be below 30 years of age
- Hold a degree equivalent to an M.Sc. degree in physics or related fields
- Belong to a low- or middle-income country (preferred but not required)
- Have an adequate proficiency in the English language
Benefits The qualified candidates will receive the benefit of full or partial scholarships to help cover the cost of the Master's program.
The full scholarship includes -
- Full support for travel
- Full support for the registration fee
- A monthly stipend of EUR 900 in the first year
- A monthly stipend of EUR 1,000 in the second year (reduced amount if accommodation provided)
The partial scholarship includes -
- Half support for travel
- Half support for the registration fee
- A monthly stipend of EUR 450 in the first year
- A monthly stipend of EUR 500 in the second year
- Alternatively, candidates can choose to receive full support for travel and registration fee only
Documents - Curriulum Vitae (CV)
- Transcription of the University degree
- Letter of recommendation from senior scientists familiar with the applicant

Selection Criteria
The selection will be based on: age, academic title, research activity and professional experience in the field and on the letter/s of recommendation. Other factors, such as nationality and gender are also taken into consideration.
Terms and Conditions
- The denomination of the official Italian Degree is "Master di Secondo Livello in Fisica Medica".
- The courses will be in English.
- The candidates will also be working on a dissertation that will be submitted during the last month of the program.
- The Participants will also be required to take part in ongoing activities of ICTP in their related fields.
- A maximum of 30 students will be admitted.
- The fee for the Master's program is EUR 2,200 for the entire cycle.
