IOCL Technician - Electrical and Instrumentation Apprenticeship 2022 is being offered by the Indian Oil Corporation Limited for 3 years Engineering diploma holders. The selected candidates will receive the stipend as per the apprentices' act and corporation’s guidelines and will be provided with one pair of safety shoes & a helmet (returnable upon completion of training), wherever applicable.

DeadlineClosed Eligibility To be eligible, an applicant must-
- be within 18-24 years of age
- have 3 years of diploma in Electrical Engineering in the Electrical discipline from a recognized institution
have 3 years of diploma in Instrumentation, Instrumentation & Electronics Instrumentation & Control Engineering in the Instrumentation discipline from a recognized institution
- have passed exams with a minimum of 50% marks
- be under the category of “Fresher apprentice”
- not have undergone apprenticeship training earlier
- not have undergone training or job experience for a period of one year or more after the attainment of the qualification
Note - The upper age limit for SC/ST candidates is up to 5 years and for PwD candidates the upper age limit is 3 years.
Benefits The selected candidates will receive the apprenticeship award as per the apprentices' act and the corporation’s guidelines. The candidates will also be provided with one pair of safety shoes & a Helmet (returnable upon completion of training), wherever applicable.
The apprentices will be covered under suitable accident insurance coverage.
Documents The following documents are required in the prescribed format to apply for the position -
- Class 10 pass certificate
- Class 12 marksheet
- Photo ID proof
- Caste certificate
- Admit card of the written test
- Final ITI
- Conversion certificate (If any)
- SC/ST/ disability certificate
- EWS-income & asset certificate
- Written declaration
How can you apply? Eligible candidates can apply for the position through the following steps-

Step 3: Click on the ‘Click here to apply online’ tab.
Step 4: Select any one discipline from the list the applicant wishes to apply for and click on the ‘Proceed’ button.
Step 5: Select any one refinery from the list and click on the ‘Proceed’ tab.
Step 6: Click on the ‘Apply Now’ tab and fill in the required information.
Step 7: Upload the required documents in the prescribed format and click on 'Submit'.

Last date for performas submission - 25th October 2022
Tentative date for admit card - 1st November 2022 - 5th November 2022
Tentative date of written test - 6th November 2022
Tentative date of written test result - 2nd November 2022
Tentative date of document verification - 28th November 2022 - 7th December 2022
Selection Criteria
The candidates will be selected based on their performance and marks obtained by them in the written test and fulfilment of eligibility criteria.
The written test will be conducted in the following prescribed format and criteria :
- Written Tests will be conducted with Objective Type Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs) consisting of four options with one correct option.
- Candidates will have to secure a minimum of 40% marks in the written test to qualify for the selection process.
- After securing the required marks in the written test, candidates will be called for document verification round.
- Candidates will go through the pre-engagement medical test and after that whoever will be declared fit in the examination will be considered for engagement as apprentices.

- Applications submitted through online mode will only be accepted.
- If the candidate has furnished false or incorrect information, the candidature of the candidate will be cancelled.
- The applications are invited by IndianOil for Apprenticeship at its Refineries at Guwahati, Digboi, and Bongaigaon (all 3 in
Assam), Barauni (Bihar), Vadodara (Gujarat), Haldia (West Bengal), Mathura (UP), Panipat {Panipat Refinery &
Petrochemical Complex (PRPC)} (Haryana) and Paradip (Odisha). - The period of apprenticeship training is for one year.
- The period of apprenticeship training may be extended under certain circumstances.
- The apprenticeship agreement will be registered online with respective authorities.
- The SC/ST/PwBD candidates appearing for Written Test/Document Verification will be reimbursed a single second class railway fare from the nearest railway station.
- The candidates who fall under the “person with benchmark disability” category must be certified with not less than 40% of a specified disability.
- The candidate must have an active email ID and mobile phone number which must remain valid for at least the next year. All future communication with candidates will take place only through website/email/SMS alerts.
