Inlaks Khuli Khirkee Grant 2022 is an opportunity offered by Inlaks Shivdasani Foundation to financially help the artists who are residing in the North Eastern Region (NER) of India. This programme will provide an open space that invites one artist-in-residence for the year 2022 to build a structure for their own residency. This programme is an opportunity for such people to experiment with their performance-making, fearlessly express themselves in their present capacity, challenge existing vocabularies, frameworks and disciplinary boundaries, rupture binaries of theory and practice as well as engage with performance as a medium for liminal social engagement. The selected applicants will receive INR 1.5 lakh for a residency period of 45-60 days.

DeadlineClosed Eligibility To be eligible, an applicant must -
- be over 21 and under 40 years of age as of 1st January 2022
- be an Indian passport-holder residing in the North Eastern Region (NER) of India comprising Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Manipur, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Nagaland, Sikkim and Tripura
- be an emerging performing artist from communities that are historically and structurally marginalised on account of social location vis-a-vis but not limited to caste, class, gender, race, merit, economic status, sexuality, religion and ability
- be willing to design the residency structure that responds to the needs as performance-maker
- be available in Delhi for the entire duration of the residency
Benefits The selected applicants will receive INR 1.5 lakh for a residency period of 45-60 days. This is inclusive of all expenses related to travel (flight/train to and from Delhi), accommodation, food, healthcare, production, marketing, honorarium and daily allowance.
Documents - Proposal in written (less than 500 words), audio or video format including a brief statement of purpose, conceptual note or idea for the new performance work and a few links to previous work
Note - The proposal must be sent in English, Hindi or vernacular language, whichever is the applicants' preferred mode of communication.

Selection Criteria
The initial selection process of choosing the ten most eligible candidates will be done by Khuli Khirkee. The selection will be based on the review of all proposals by the community, mutual discussions and a voting system.
