IHE Delft invites applications for PhD Fellowship in Environmental Biotechnology 2019-20 from students having a master's degree in Environmental Biotechnology, Sanitary Engineering, Environmental Engineering or related fields. As part of the NOMAD project, the research involves the conduction of different lab trials to evaluate different methods for the removal of endocrine disrupters. The fellowship offers EUR 1,190 per month for four years and other benefits to the selected fellows.

    Eligibility

    To be eligible for this fellowship, a candidate must

    • Have a Master’s degree in environmental engineering, environmental biotechnology, sanitary engineering or similar subjects
    • Have experience or knowledge on the research topic, i.e. removal and analytical determination of endocrine disrupter compounds
    • Possess some proven records of publications
    • Be able to speak and write fluent English
    • Have excellent communication skills
    • Be motivated to conduct research independently in a dynamic and heterogeneous team
    Benefits

    The duration of the fellowship is 4 years under which the selected fellows receive -

    • Fellowship of EUR 1,190 per month
    • Allowance of EUR 300 per year for book
    • Allowance of EUR 35 per month for study material
    • Cost coverage of Residence Permit and Health Insurance

    How can you apply?

    Eligible candidates need to follow the below steps to apply for this fellowship –

    Step 1: Draft an application letter with the subject “NOMAD PhD application” on mail.
    Step 2: Attach the required documents.
    Step 3: Send the completed application via email to the secretaries of the Environmental Engineering and Water Technology (EEWT) Department at SecretariatEEWT@un-ihe.org.

Application deadline – 01st November 2019
Interview – 3rd to 4th week of September 2019

Selection Criteria

The selection of the fellows will be made on the basis of their performance in the interview which is planned for the third to fourth week of September.
