ICAR-IARI Genetics Division Senior Research Fellowship 2021 is a research opportunity offered to master’s degree holders. The selected candidate is required to work on a project entitled - "Consortia Research Platform – Biofortification of Selected Crops for Nutritional Security (Maize component)". The selected fellow will receive up to INR 31,000 per month plus 24% HRA.

    Eligibility

    To be eligible, an applicant must-

    • Be maximum 35 years of age
    • Hold a Master’s degree in Genetics/Plant Breeding/ Genetics and Plant Breeding/Biotechnology/Life Sciences or allied subjects with 4/5 years’ Bachelor’s degree, OR 
    • Hold a 3 years Bachelor’s degree with UGC/CSIR/ICAR NET qualification or equivalent or Ph.D. degree in any of the above disciplines, OR
    • Hold a Master's degree in relevant subject with 4 years/5 years of Bachelor's degree

     

    Desirable Qualification:

    • Have research experience in maize breeding and application of molecular markers

     

    Note - The candidates who hold a Postgraduate degree in Basic Sciences with 3 years Bachelor's degree and 2 years Master's degree should have NET qualifications and 2 years of research experience as mentioned in OM No. Edn./6127/2014/HRD dated 13th July 2015, OM No. Agril. Edn. 6127DA14-HRD 9th October 2015 of the Council and OM SR/S9/Z-09/2018 of DST dated 30th January 2019.
