The Institute for Advanced Sustainability Studies invites applications for IASS Klaus Töpfer Sustainability Fellowship 2020 from young to mid-career professionals. The fellowship is intended to honour individuals who strive, like Klaus Töpfer, to connect science and politics in their work. Selected fellows will receive financial compensation to cover their living costs and other benefits.

    Eligibility

    To be eligible, an applicant must:

    • Be a highly talented young early to a mid-career professional from Germany or abroad
    • Have worked for at least ten years on sustainability issues
    • Have the potential to serve as change agents towards sustainable development
    Benefits

    The selected fellows will receive the following benefits -

    • Financial compensation to cover the living costs in Germany
    • Resources to cover travel expenses, publication fees, support for organizing workshops, production costs for artistic work, etc.

Selection Criteria

  • Fellows are expected to be physically present at the IASS during their stay and actively contribute to the work of the institute.

  • The selection is anticipated in early spring, 2020.
