Humming Bird Mathematics Olympiad (HMO) 2018 is an Olympiad based on multiple choice question pattern for students of class 1 to 12. The key objective of the Olympiad is to motivate students to have an in-depth understanding of the subject as well as to enhance their conceptual, factual, logical, reasoning, problem-solving and analytical skills.

DeadlineClosed Eligibility - The students studying in class 1 to 12 from CBSE/ICSE/State Board or any other recognized board across India are eligible to apply for the Olympiad.
Benefits - The top three national/international level winners will receive tablet and certificates.
- The 4 to 10 rank holders at national/international winners will receive branded wrist watches.
- The first prize winner at state-level will receive gold medal and gifts worth INR 3000.
- The second prize winner at state-level will receive silver medal and gifts worth INR 2000.
- The third prize winner at state-level will receive bronze medal and gifts worth INR 1000.
- The 4 to 10 rank holders at state-level will receive consolation prizes.
- All state-level toppers and national/international level meritorious students will receive merit certificate.
- The top three students from each class(including all sections) at school level will be awarded a gold medal, silver medal and bronze medal as per their ranks.
- Praticipation certificate will be given to all the participants at school/state/national/international level.
- Every participant will receive a performance analysis report.
- Every participating school will receive a school performance report.
- An International educational tour is also available for selected students.
- There will be an award of the best school of cash prize INR 10,000 with certificate and trophy for the schools with maximum participation and other selected criterions.
- The award of the innovative principal of INR 5,100 will be given to the principal of the school with maximum participation and other selected criterions.
- The award of innovative teacher/school coordinator of INR 2,100 will be given to the teacher of school with maximum participation and other selected criterions.

- Demand Draft/Cheque (if the fee is paid through bank transfer, the schools need to send the details of the amount transferred along with the date of transfer on School's letterhead.
How can you apply? The students need to apply through their respective schools by paying an examination fee of INR 120 per student. The schools can adopt the following steps to apply -Step 1: Schools can receive the hard copy/soft copy of the registration form by either sending their school address or by sending an email at hummingbirdeducation@gmail.com respectively.Step 2: Get the forms filled in the prescribed format by the students and collect the examination fee from them.Step 3: Pay the examination fee either through Cheque/Demand Draft drawn in favour of Humming Bird Education Pvt. Important Dates
Last date to apply- 31 August 2018
Olympiad dates- 16 November 2018 or 4 December 2018
Date of level 2 examination- 24 January 2019
Terms and Conditions
- The centre of the examination will be the school itself.
- Every participant will receive a free book (worth INR 90), participation certificate, a performance analysis report and free online tutorial.
- The examination pattern will be multiple choice containing 40 subject-based questions and 20 intelligence based questions.
- The time duration of the examination is 50 minutes.
- The participants will also receive the syllabus along with the free books.
- The subjects covered in the examination include mathematics and intelligence based questions.
- The Olympiad is available in English, Hindi and Tamil medium.
- For school-level prizes, minimum 10 participants are required from each class.
