Dr. Punjabrao Deshmukh Vasatigruh Nirvah Bhatta Yojna 2022-23, Maharashtra is an initiative of the Directorate of Higher Education, Government of Maharashtra to financially help the students who are wards of registered labour/alpabhudharak (Marginal Land Holder) and who have taken admission in technical, professional or non-professional courses. The candidates studying in MMRDA/PMRDA/Aurangabad City/Nagpur City will be awarded INR  30,000 for 10 months and candidates studying in institutes located in other areas will be awarded INR 20,000 for 10 months.

    Eligibility

    To be eligible, an applicant must - 

    • be a resident of Maharashtra
    • be a child of registered labour/child of alpabhudarak 
    • have taken admission in Technical, Professional or Non Professional courses at graduation or postgraduation level
    • have an annual family income from INR 1 lakh to INR 8 lakh
    Benefits

    The selected candidates will receive the benefits in the following ways -

    Professional Courses -  

    For children of Registered Labor/Alpabhudharak (Marginal Land Holder) - 

    • Students studying in institutes located in MMRDA/PMRDA/Aurangabad City/Nagpur City - INR 30,000 for 10 months
    • Students studying in institutes located in other areas - INR 20,000 for 10 months)

    For students having an annual family income of up to 1 lakh - 

    • For students studying in institutes located in MMRDA/PMRDA/Aurangabad City/Nagpur City - INR 10,000 for 10 months 
    • For students studying in institutes located in other areas - INR 8,000 for 10 months

    For students having an annual family income of  INR 1 lakh to 8 lakh - 

    • For students studying in institutes located in MMRDA/PMRDA/Aurangabad City/Nagpur City - INR 10,000 for 10 months
    • For students studying in institutes located in other areas - INR 8,000 for 10 months. (Note - 33 % of seats are reserved for girls. If the seats are left then they will be given to the boys.)

    For Non-Professional Courses - 

    INR 2,000 annual for 10 months to students having an annual family income of INR 1 lakh

    How can you apply?

    Eligible candidates can apply for the scholarship through the following steps -
    Step 1: Click on the 'Apply Now' button below.
    Step 2: Click on 'New Applicant Registration'. 
    Step 3: Fill in all required details, verify the email and phone number.
    Step 4: Complete the Aadhaar authentication process either through OTP or biometrics. 
    Step 5: The candidates will receive an OTP on their registered mobile number if they opt for OTP authentication.
    Step 6: Complete the registration process by filling in all the required details.
    Step 7: Log in using the username and password. 
    Step 8: Complete the scholarship application, upload the necessary documents and submit.

Selection Criteria

The candidates will be selected based on the fulfilment of the eligibility criteria.

Dear Student,

Yes. This scholarship is available for students from Maharashtra who are wards of registered labor and who have taken admission in Technical, Professional, or Non-Professional courses at graduation or post-graduation level. If your brother fulfills the eligibility condition specified for this scholarship, he can apply for it online through the MahaDBT portal.
