About The Program

The University of Sydney invites applications for Dr Abdul Kalam International Undergraduate Scholarship 2020-21 from undergraduate degree applicants in the Faculty of Engineering. The aim of this scholarship is to support meritorious international students who want to pursue undergraduate degree courses in the Faculty of Engineering at The University of Sydney. Selected students will get funding for half of the tuition fees.

EligibilityDeadline Date: Closed

To be eligible, an applicant must:

  • Be an international student
  • Hold an unconditional admission offer to study an undergraduate degree in the Faculty of Engineering
  • Have a minimum ATAR of 98, or equivalent
  • Start the degree course in the same year as of the scholarship award

Selected students will get 50% of their total tuition fees for one year only.

Selection Criteria

The scholarship will be awarded to the deserving applicants on the basis of their academic merit in Australian Year 12 qualification or an international senior secondary qualification equivalent.

Terms and Conditions
  • This scholarship covers 50% of the full-time tuitions fees for one year only.
  • Commencement of the scholarship will be in the same semester or year in which it is offered.
  • To continue with the scholarship in the next semester, the students must maintain a minimum 65 Semester Average Mark (SAM) in each semester.
  • Once the scholarship gets terminated, it will not be reinstated unless it is due to university error.
