Clinical Research Training Program Fellowship in Neuroscience and Public Health Research 2022 is being offered by the George Institute for Global Health, India for medical graduates (MBBS) and post-graduates (MD/MS/MPH/equivalent) students. The aim of this fellowship is to integrate clinical research on public health and mental health disorders, with a focus on epilepsy. This program would be jointly carried out at the Dayanand Medical College & Hospital, Ludhiana, George Institute for Global Health India, New Delhi, All India Institute of Medical Sciences, New Delhi, and the University of Hyderabad, Hyderabad. The selected candidates will receive INR 50 lakh including personal support and training costs for the complete duration of the fellowship.

    Eligibility

    To be eligible, an applicant must -

    • not be more than 45 years of age
    • be a medical graduate (MBBS) and post-graduate(MD/MS/MPH/equivalent) from a recognized University/Institution

     

    Note - Applicants who do not have a doctoral degree will be required to enrol in a Ph.D. program if selected.

    The selected candidates will receive INR 50 lakh which will include personal support and training costs for the complete duration of the fellowship. 

    Personal support will be as per institutional guidelines and commensurate with the applicant’s qualifications and experience.

Selection Criteria

The selection of the candidates will be based on the two-stage process of application including, review and interviews. The candidates will be short-listed based on the evaluation of the submitted documents for the interview.

  • The candidates must be able to prepare for clinical research.
  • The candidates must be willing to work in various studies conducted within the STOP Epilepsy project.
  • The minimum duration of the fellowship is 3.5 years which can be extended up to 4 years.
  • It is mandatory for the fellows to complete the objectives of the training program to be eligible for the fellowship certificate.
  • The candidates will receive personal support as per institutional guidelines.
  • The candidate must fill out one application form at a time.
  • The candidates must create a research proposal of not more than 750 words based on public health and epilepsy covering the – background, methods, primary and secondary outcomes and public health impact.
  • The incomplete or late applications will be rejected by the authorities.
  • Ineligible candidates will not be provided with separate intimation.
  • The candidates must wait for 3 consecutive days to receive a response.
  • The candidates must fill the application form in one sitting.
