Chinese Government Scholarship Program, Harbin Institute of Technology 2022-23 is an initiative by Harbin Institute of Technology, China for graduate and postgraduate students. This scholarship aims to support the study of outstanding international students. The selected students will get a monthly stipend of up to RMB 3,500 and other benefits i.e medical insurance, exemption of tuition fees, etc.

DeadlineClosed Eligibility To be eligible, an applicant must:
- Be non-Chinese nationality in good health
- Be International students out of China or former graduates of Chinese universities
- Have a Bachelor’s degree and be under 35 years of age (for Master’s degree applicants)
- Have a Master’s degree and be under 40 years of age (for Doctoral degree applicants)
- Have excellent academic performance
- Have good ability in scientific research
Benefits - Exempt from registration fee, tuition fee, and accommodation fee.
- RMB 800 per year for Comprehensive Medical Insurance.
- Monthly stipend is granted to the students at the following rates:
- Master’s degree candidate: RMB 3,000 per month
- Doctoral degree candidate: RMB 3,500 per month
Documents - Highest full-time study diploma (original notarized document in English or Chinese)
- Transcripts signed and sealed from school
- A study or research plan (not less than 800 words in English or Chinese)
- Two recommendation letters by professors or associate professors in English or Chinese
- Passport copy (Valid for one year at least)
- Photocopy of Foreigner Physical Examination Form
- Bank Receipt of Material Assessment Fee: 60 USD or 400 RMB
- Language proficiency certificate
- Certificate of No Criminal Record
- Acceptance letter(not compulsory)

Selection Criteria
The selection committee will make the final decision on the selection of candidates based on the eligibility criteria.
Terms and Conditions
- Chinese proficiency is a must, those having no command, have to take a one-year Chinese language course, failure to reach the required language proficiency (HSK 4) will lead to the automatic termination of scholarship.
- The applicants should post the paper application materials with a copy of the remittance receipt. Paper materials and material assessment fees are non-refundable.
