A-STAR Graduate Scholarship, Singapore 2022 is an initiative by the Agency for Science, Technology and Research (A-STAR) for Ph.D. applicants. This scholarship programme is a collaboration between A-STAR, Nanyang Technological University (NTU), National University of Singapore (NUS), Singapore University of Technology and Design (SUTD) and Singapore Management University (SMU) aims at helping young students undertake research at an A-STAR Research Institute and register for their PhD candidature at NTU, NUS, SUTD or SMU. The selected students will receive variable awards.

DeadlineClosed Eligibility To be eligible, an applicant must:
- Be a citizen of Singaporeans and other nationals
- Have completed or are on track to complete a degree in a Singapore autonomous university
- Have satisfied criteria for and seek admission to PhD or EngD programme in an autonomous university
- Have obtained, or are on track to get, at least a 2nd Upper-Class Honours degree or equivalent in a relevant discipline
- Have a strong interest in a research career
NOTE: The above eligibility criteria are not exhaustive.
A*STAR may include additional selection criteria based on prevailing scholarship policies. These policies may be amended from time to time without notice.Benefits Selected candidates will receive -
- Full tuition fees
- Monthly sustenance allowance (including CPF contribution, if applicable)
- Other allowances include book allowance, computer allowance, conference allowance and thesis allowance
- Support for up to 12 months of overseas attachment
Documents - Identity card/Passport
- A recent passport-sized photo in JPEG/PNG format
- Singapore National Service certificate (if applicable)
- Academic Transcripts/Degree Scrolls for all qualifications and subjects
- SAT / GRE / IELTS / TOEFL / MCAT results (if applicable)
- Co-curricular activities records (if applicable)
- Awards & Publications (if available)

Step 4: Upload the required documents.
Step 5: Submit the application.NOTE: Please note that the choice of PhD or EngD supervisor(s), project and university of successful candidates is subject to approval by A*STAR. Please refer to the "Research Areas and Supervisors" tab for a list of A*STAR-approved supervisors.

Terms and Conditions
- After completing their PhD or EngD studies, AGS scholars can apply for the A*STAR International Fellowship (AIF) to pursue post-doctoral training at top overseas universities or research entities to further deepen their research expertise and expand their global network.
