National Educational Council invites applications for the 20th Merit Search Examination for the year 2017. Students of class 5 to 12 class can apply for this examination. Qualified students will be getting merit certificates and the winners will receive the scholarship for one year. Applicants have to apply online, and the exam will be held on 9th April 2017. The results will be declared after 30 days of the exam.

- Any school student/college student studying in classes 5 to 12 can apply.
How can you apply? The application can be done online with following steps.
Step 1: Go to the website.
Step 2: Read the instruction given there.
Step 3: Scroll down to click on "Click here to apply online for 20th Merit Search Examination 2017".
Step 4: Read the instructions given there.
Step 5: Now click on "Apply Online".
Step 6: Read "Terms and Conditions' and "Privacy Policy" before clicking on "Continue".
Step 7: Now fill all the details and click on proceed.

Terms and Conditions
Before filling the form online, you must have following documents handy:
- Scan the photograph and the size must not be greater than 250KB.
- Keep your Credit/Debit Card or Internet Banking Login Details.
- For offline mode keep the Cheque/DD/MO ready.
- Must have a valid email ID and mobile number.
- On the successful submission of the form, the system will generate a REFERENCE NUMBER which of 8 digits. Keep this Reference Number for the Payment and other Communications.
- For Online payment you have to enter this Reference before making the payment. Once the payment is successful you will get your Registration Number.
- For Offline payment you have to mention this Reference No on the back side of Cheque/DD/MO. Once they receive your payment you can check your Registration Number by entering your Reference Number
