Some scholarships are eligibility driven, which means one only needs to fill the form and clear the eligibility criteria to get the scholarship. But most scholarships have a definite screening and selection procedure. Such procedures might include, tests, interviews, essay-writing, reference checking etc. Students should check the selection procedure of each scholarship information brochure to find out if the selection procedures requires any intervention. Thus, only filling the application form does not provide the surety of scholarship, but students are advised to maximize their chances of getting a scholarship by applying to maximum scholarships of their eligibility.
