Scholarships are always meant to benefit as many students as possible for the given eligibility criteria and scholarship fund availability. Scholarships are provided by State Governments in India which are generally based on applicant domicile conditions, which means that some migrant students are not able to apply for such programs. National scholarships, on the other hand, are not domicile specific and can be availed by any student falling under the eligibility criteria. There is always a wider range of scholarships available for migrant students than for regional applicants. Almost all private scholarships are available for migrant students as well, as long as they are Indian nationals. Students need to confirm the location eligibility for every scholarship before application.
