About The Program
ONGC Scholarship to Meritorious Students is an initiative of the ONGC Foundation that aims to financially support meritorious students belonging to SC/ST/OBC and General categories to pursue their higher studies. Under this scholarship, the students studying in the first year of Engineering, MBBS, MBA or Master's in Geophysics/Geology programme are provided with a scholarship of ₹48,000 per annum to complete their education.
About the Foundation:
ONGC Foundation was established by the Oil and Natural Gas Corporation (ONGC) with a vision of impacting and socially transforming the lives of underprivileged students by providing them with financial assistance to pursue higher education. The scholarship has been introduced as part of the CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility) initiative of the foundation to help meritorious students coming from marginalised sections of society.

Terms and Conditions
- 50% of scholarships are reserved for female students.
- Applications with misinformation will be rejected and the respective student will be permanently barred from applying in the future.
- Once awarded, the scholarship shall be continued every year till the completion of the course subject to the promotion of the student to the next year of their course.
- The scholarship shall be discontinued if the candidate is not promoted to next year by their respective institute/college/university.
- For the continuation of the scholarship, the student will have to send an ‘Application for Renewal' in the prescribed format.
- The selected candidate must not be availing the benefits of any other scholarship or financial assistance from any other source.
- In case the students opt for any different scholarship subsequently after being awarded the ONGC scholarship, they will have to refund the entire scholarship amount received from the ONGC Foundation.
- ONGC has the right to alter or discontinue the scholarship without prior notice.
