The Arthur L. Carter Journalism Institute, New York University invites applications from full-time journalists for World Journalist Fellowship 2018. The fellowship aims at creating opportunities for young journalists to pursue a Master's in Journalism program at the institute.

DeadlineClosed Eligibility To be eligible for the fellowship, an applicant must -
- Be based internationally with a non-US passport.
- Be a full-time Journalist.
- Have a minimum experience of two years at an electronic or print publication. (Note: The combination of freelance journalism assignments can also be considered equivalent to two years full-time work experience).
- Hold good fluency in English and at least one other language.
- Possess either a 4-year undergraduate degree or a 3-year undergraduate degree with 1 year of graduate work.
Note: The experience of corporate communications and public relations will not be counted. Besides this, the work done by the students for student publications and internships also do not count.
How can you apply? Eligible candidates can apply for the fellowship through following steps -
Step 1: Apply to an MA program in Journalism at the NYU Journalism Institute.
Step 2: Click here to create an account for the fellowship application.
Step 3: Once the account is created, the applicants can proceed further to apply for the fellowship.
Step 4: Fill in all required details.
Step 5: Finally submit the application form.
Terms and Conditions
Award Details
- The fellowship covers tuition fees and registration expenses for two of the three semesters.
- An approximate stipend of USD 13,000 is also given to the fellows for each of the two semesters of fellowship.
