Documents required:
- Submit a Resume/CV. Include experience in the area of computer science, as well as leadership experiences and the impact you have created.
- Submit a 1-minute video, explaining why you would like to receive this scholarship. Upload it on Youtube and share the link in the application.
- Write an essay of maximum 250 words to tell us about 'What adversity have you faced, and how did it impact your career?'
- Write an essay of maximum 300 words to tell us about the following:
- How do you plan to use computer science to make the world a more sustainable place?
- If you receive this scholarship, how will you use it to advance your passion and the goals of this scholarship?
Terms and Conditions:
- Applicants will be selected based on the overall strength of their essays and application materials compared to the entire applicant pool.
- Scholarship award of 750 USD must be spent on tuition, fees, books, supplies and equipment required for the students' classes at their primary university. Scholarship recipients may also be awarded a grant of 225 USD towards developing the local community in areas of computer science, upon submitting a proposal.
- Tax liability, if any, in relation to this scholarship award will have to be borne by the scholarship applicant.
- Applicants must be enrolled as full-time students for the 2016-2017 and 2017-2018 academic years.
- Enrollment will be verified after the winners are selected, and all scholarship payments will be made directly to the student to be used towards tuition and education-related expenses.
- We will withhold the award for any scholar who no longer meets the eligibility requirements and revoke the award for any scholar who does not maintain the eligibility requirements.
- Any employee of Google Inc. including its affiliates and subsidiaries are not eligible to apply for this scholarship.
- Applicants who are residents of embargoed countries, ordinarily resident in embargoed countries, or otherwise prohibited by applicable export controls and sanctions programs may not apply for this scholarship.
