The University of Delhi invites applications from undergraduate and postgraduate students for Undergraduate Scholarships 2017. In all, the University offers a total of 15 scholarships and book grants for the undergraduate students.

    Wards of Class 3 or 4 University employees who have enrolled in the first year of a 3-year degree course.

    Sh. Prem Prakash Award

    Wards of Class 4 University/College employees who have enrolled in the first year of a regular degree course at the University.

    3.

    The Delhi University and College Karamchari Union Book Grant

    Wards of University/College non-teaching employees who have enrolled in the first year of a 3-year degree course at the University.

    4.

    The Delhi State Co-operative Union Book Grant

    • Dependent wards/brothers of non-commissioned Defence force personnel.
    • Resident of Delhi territory
    • Joined the first year of a 3-year degree course at the University.

    5.

    Pt. Man Mohan Nath Dhar Book Grant

    • Pursuing undergraduate/postgraduate courses at University.
    • Have annual family income less than the amount that comes under the Income tax.

    6.

    Sardar Kartar Singh Grover Memorial Book Grant

    • Highest scorers of first-year annual examination of BCA or B.Sc.(Hons.) in Computer Science.
    • Have secured at least 60 percent marks in the first-year examination (annually).

    Ganga Sant Book Grant

    Pursuing the first year of B.A.(Hons.) in Sanskrit or B.A.(Hons.) in Mathematics.

    Puran Chand Khatri Book Grant

    • Wards of Khatri families.
    • Pursuing the first year of 3-year degree courses

    9.

    Delhi University Women Association Book Grant

    Daughters of Jawans who have enrolled in the first year of a 3-year degree program at the University.

    Smt. Kesra Bai Luthra Book Grant

    Pursuing first year of B.Sc.(Hons.) in Botany or Zoology.

    D. D. Kapoor Book Grant

    • Pursuing the first year of B.A.(Hons.) in Economics at the University.
    • Have annual family income less than the amount that comes under the Income tax.

    12.

    Satish Batra Memorial Book Grant

    • Have passed Class 12 with 60% marks in Urdu.
    • Pursuing the first year of B.A.(Pass)/B.A.(Hons.) in Urdu at the University.

    13.

    Dr. S. L. Hora and Smt. V. Hora Endowment Book Grant

    • Have passed Class 12 with first division.
    • Pursuing the first year of B.Sc.(Hons.) in Zoology.

    14.

    Pt. Udho Ram Ram Pal Charitable Trust Book Grant

    • Have passed Class 12 with first division.
    • Pursuing the first year of B.A.(Hons.) in English, Sanskrit, Psychology, Hindi, Philosophy or B.Sc.(Hons.) in Anthropology.
    • Have annual family income less than the amount that comes under the Income tax.

    Sh. Balak Ram Book Grant

    • Pursuing first year of B.A.(Hons.) or B.Sc.(Hons.) in Mathematics at the University.
    • Have annual family income less than the amount that comes under the Income tax.
    How can you apply?

    The eligible candidates can apply for the scholarship through following steps -
    Step 1: Visit the official notification of scholarships. 
    Step 2: Click here to download the application form.
    Step 3: Fill in all necessary details. 
    Step 4: Submit the duly filled-in application form along with necessary documents to the registrar office of the respective college. 
    Step 5: The Principal of College will forward the applications to the Registrar of University of Delhi (Scholarship Cell).

Award Details

  • Dr. V.K.R.V. Rao Endowment Book Grant - INR 100 per month tenable for one year and can be renewed. 
  • Sh. Prem Prakash Award - INR 3500 payable at the beginning of the year. 
  • The Delhi University and College Karamchari Union Book Grant - INR 250 per month tenable for 1 year only. 
  • The Delhi State Co-operative Union Book Grant - INR 50 per month tenable for 1 year and can be renewed. 
  • Pt. Man Mohan Nath Dhar Book Grant - INR 100 per month tenable for 1 year. 
  • Sardar Kartar Singh Grover Memorial Book Grant - INR 350 per month tenable for 1 academic year and can be renewed. 
  • Ganga Sant Book Grant - INR 175 per month tenable for 3 years (renewed annually). 
  • Puran Chand Khatri Book Grant - INR 40 per month tenable for 1 year.
  • Delhi University Women Association Book Grant - INR 100 per month tenable for 3 years (renewed annually). 
  • Smt. Kesra Bai Luthra Book Grant - INR 100 per month tenable for 3 years (renewed annually). 
  • D.D. Kapoor Book Grant - INR 100 per month tenable for 3 years (renewed annually). 
  • Satish Batra Memorial Book Grant - INR 300 per month tenable for 3 years (renewed annually). 
  • Dr. S. L. Hora and Smt. V. Hora Endowment Book Grant - INR 100 per month tenable for one year and can be renewed. 
  • Pt. Udho Ram Ram Pal Charitable Trust Book Grant - INR 100 per month tenable for 3 years (renewed annually). 
  • Sh. Balak Ram Book Grant - INR 75 per month tenable for 3 years (renewed annually).
