The Times Group invites applications from students of class - 9 to 12 for Times Spark 2017 scholarship under Read to Lead programme. The term SPARK stands for Scholarship Programme for Awareness, Responsibility, and Knowledge. The core objective of this scheme is to develop a habit of reading among students.

DeadlineClosed Eligibility To be eligible for the scholarship, the students of class 9 to 12 can apply at two different levels -
- Level 1- For students with birth date from 01.07.2001 to 30.06.2004
- Level 2- For students with birth date from 01.07.1998 to 30.06.2001

Terms and Conditions
Scholarship amount
Up to 400 selected students will receive an educational grant ranging from INR 1 lac to INR 2 lac. Furthermore, Bennett University will also organize a special orientation program in partnership with Cornell and Georgia Tech for top 20 students.
The top 5 schools of each city will also get featured in The Times of India based on their number of enrollments for the program.
Selection process
The candidates have to go through the articles published by the Times of India covering a vast range of fields such as sports, science and technology, current affairs, social issues, politics, global developments etc. After a span of 3 months, an online test will be conducted followed by interviews to assess the understanding and perspectives of the students thereby making the final selection.
