About The Program

The European Trade Union Institute (ETUI) and International Trade Union Confederation (ITUC) invites applications for the Grigor Gradev Scholarship 2018 from young researchers who have a specialization in labor relations studies. It is a 3-month scholarship with the European Trade Union Institute in Brussels.

EligibilityDeadline Date: Closed

To be eligible for the scholarship, a candidate must:

  • Not be more than 35 years of age.
  • Have an excellent command over English speaking and writing.
  • Have a proven track record of publications in the field of industrial relations, particularly in transition economies.
  • Have a real research project focused on Central and Eastern Europe, the South-Eastern Europe, the Caucasus or Central Asia that will provide details on issues that affect to improving workers’ rights and dignity, e.g., collective bargaining, health & safety, information and consultation rights, etc
How can you apply?

Candidates who want to apply for the scholarship are invited to submit an application, including a CV, motivational letter and three references of their latest publications by the end of 2017. Send all details by email to skasiers@etui.org and a copy of it to petra.winkler@ituc-csi.org.

Terms and Conditions

Award Details:

The scholarship will include travel expenses for relocation to Brussels and then back to candidate's home at the end of the scholarship period. During the three-month stay in Brussels, the candidates will also receive a furnished studio, a monthly allowance, an equipped office and access to relevant resources. In addition, the scholarship also covers the cost of attending and presenting the research findings at relevant events, along with the cost of publication in the ETUI publication series.
